Particularly famous for its Wan Tan Mee that comes with generous slices of perfect grill Char Siew. Yuan Kie’s Wan Tan Mee is wet with an overdose of dark soy sauce for a flavorful taste. Previously in the 1960s and 1970s, this noodle stall was a popular breakfast spot among rubber tappers. They usually gather here for hot piping noodles before beginning their work at the rubber tree plantation. And because of this, the noodle menu at this stall gains its new nickname as Rubber Tap Noodle.

Even though officially known as the Shu Shi Fen, this noodle dish looks like thin slices of dry rubber taps. Instead of the springy texture of Wan Tan Mee, Rubber Tap Noodle is wider and more chewy. Currently, the second generation owner, 90-year-old Mr. Tan Kow Po and his son are helming the business. Existing for more than three decades, this popular kopitiam is amazingly new with a cafe look now. In addition to attracting and retaining the good old memories of the neighborhood locals. The only difference is that the thick Apam Balik is more chewy and soft in texture that is suitable for eating warm.
